Previously, Sabina was a managing director at an international risk consultancy in New York City and then in Washington, DC. She joined that firm at its inception and helped establish its investigative practice. Sabina began her investigative career as a research analyst at Kroll, rose to Director of Research for the firm’s New York office, and then to Global Head of Training for Kroll’s Business Intelligence and Investigations practice.
Sabina’s engagements have included managing due diligence activity in Asia and the US for an international financial institution seeking its banking license in the US. For a domestic hedge fund, Sabina helped establish best-practice preemployment investigations of prospective employees and due diligence investigations on trading platform partners.
After graduating from Harvard Business School, Sabina served as a Special Advisor in the Directorate of Intelligence at the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s headquarters in Washington, DC. There, she worked to refine and strengthen the FBI’s intelligence-gathering capabilities and implement its intelligence-transformation efforts in response to the recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.
